 Chiropractic focuses on
aligning the bones of the spine to reduce nerve
irritation and the
accompanying muscle spasm and inflammation. The
nerves that control every aspect of your body pass
through your spine. The bones of the spine can
become misaligned through trauma, poor posture and
bad ergonomics directly affecting the nerves and
lead to health problems. The chiropractic approach
is not to treat the different conditions of
ill–health but to align the spine so the body can
control and
regulate itself naturally.
Spinal misalignment can lead to abnormal stress on
the spine. Over time this improper motion and
alignment can cause scar-tissue and eventually
degeneration or arthritis to form. Degenerative
joint and disc degeneration may be prevented with
proper spinal care.
Spinal misalignment can be detected early to prevent
its harmful effects. In most cases, the spine can be
returned to near-normal or the degeneration can be
stopped or slowed, if degeneration has
already begun. Chiropractic Manipulation Best

Survey
A leading consumer product
rating and survey publisher released the results of
more than 14,000 Americans on April 6, 2009.
The survey rated doctors of
chiropractic as the top practitioner, with survey
respondents noting that they were more likely to be
“highly satisfied” with the care received from their
doctor of chiropractic.
A significant amount of evidence
has shown that the use of chiropractic care for
certain conditions can be more effective than
traditional medical care, with many patients feeling
improvement shortly after their first chiropractic
visit. April 2009 American Chiropractic

Research in 1994 reviewed many treatments
for acute low back pain in adults. The panel
consisted of medical doctors, osteopaths, nurses,
physical therapists and others familiar with the
treatment of low back pain. The results of their
five year study concluded that relief “can be
accomplished most safely with spinal manipulation or
nonprescription medication." Long Term Benefits
