Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

Chiropractic is a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend manual therapy, acupuncture and therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises as well as to provide nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle counseling.

Who can benefit? Improved nerve communications between your brain and your body can help everyone. Modified adjusting approaches can help children, the elderly, and those with special needs. We often treat patients who have back and neck pain, headaches, or joint dysfunction or have been involved in a trauma, such as a fall or car accident.

How long will it take? Since chiropractic care depends on the healing abilities of each patient, results are hard to predict. Every patient responds differently. Some detect changes in a few short days or weeks.

Manual Therapy

Our office utilizes the benefits of manual therapy in our treatment plans. Manual therapy is covered by insurance when medically necessary. Recovery time is improved when our office uses the benefits of manual therapy, rehabilitation stretches, and strengthening exercises.

Manual therapy techniques include neuromuscular, trigger point, and fascia release techniques. Addressing the dysfunction is our primary concern when utilizing manual therapy. Often, rehabilitative stretches, strengthening, and ergonomic suggestions are incorporated into our programs.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a common alternative health practice that has been used worldwide for centuries with great success and safety.
